Antrenamentele regulate reduc riscul multor forme de boli cardiovasculare, inclusiv atacul de cord, accidentul vascular cerebral, boala arterială periferică si bolile coronariene.

-          Scade colesterolul LDL („rău”) care poate înfunda arterele inimii tale;
-          Deschide vasele de sânge și îți face inima să pompeze, ceea ce îmbunătățește circulația;

Studies show that practising eight weeks of pilates for one hour, every day, four times a week can increase metabolism and reduce obesity in obese women.
In older adults, another research showed pilates training improved balance and helped prevent falls.
