Portocala – vedeta lunii decembrie

Și nu numai, am putea adăuga. Profită de cel mai popular fruct din lume, ca să îi asiguri organismului o imunitate invincibilă.

Zemoase, dulci, iubite de adulți și copii, portocalele aparțin unui grup special de citrice, pline de vitamina C, dar și de peste 170 de substanțe care combat apariția cancerului, de unde și reputația lor de pachet natural complet de nutrimente anticancer.

Cosumul frecvent de portocale scade cu până la 50% incidența a numeroase afecțiuni cancerigene, precum cel stomacal, bucal sau esofagian. Aceste fructe sunt bune și la combaterea inflamațiilor care conduc la boli cardiovasculare, artrite, osteoartrite și astm. De asemenea, previn apariția diabetului și a obezității.

Iată alte cinci motive pentru care merită să mănânci portocale:

1. Cresc imunitatea
O singură portocală conține mai mult decât necesarul zilnic de vitamina C. Acest nutriment vital îți va spori imunitatea organismului și te va feri de infecții și de tot soiul de afecțiuni.

2. Redau suplețea tenului
Pe măsură ce îmbătrânești, pielea, la fel ca alte părți ale corpului, trece prin schimbări majore. (Ceva similar se petrece și cu metalele când sunt expuse la aer.) Chiar dacă îmbătrânirea e inevitabilă, poți încetini procesul cu ajutorul unui consum mare de antioxidanți și vitamina C, adică prin exact ceea ce portocalele au mai de preț.

3. Ajută vederea
Vârsta e nemiloasă și cu vederea. Însă consumul de portocale, bogate în vitamina C, potasiu și mai ales vitamina A, face minuni pentru ochii tăi. Așa că include în alimentația zilnică o portocală și-ți vei păstra vederea la capacitatea maximă.

4. Stimulează creierul
Acidul folic prezent în portocale susține dezvoltarea normală a celui mai important organ de care dispui și-i întrețin funcțiile la nivel optim. Portocalele sunt recomandate zilnic, mai ales pe perioada sarcinii, deoarece ajută fătul să se dezvolte normal, fără probleme neurologice.

5. Previn bolile cardiovasculare
Portocalele conțin flavonoide care reduc colesterolul și previn îngroșarea și blocarea arterelor pe care le-ai neglijat printr-un consum de alimente nesănătoase. De acum încolo, oricând ți-e poftă de ceva bun, fugi de la raionul cu ciocolată la cel cu portocale.
